Cherry Creek Spa Adds Hydrafacial Bar as Denver Demand Grows

Cherry Creek's glass-and-brick retail corridor has a new kind of storefront: a walk-in hydrafacial bar where Denver clients can book a 30-minute treatment between meetings instead of setting aside a half-day spa visit.

Glow Standard Skincare opened its second Denver location this month, and owner Renee Castellano says the shift toward shorter, more frequent visits has been building for a couple of years. "People still want the results of a full spa day, but their calendars don't have room for it," she said. "We built a menu around 20- and 30-minute slots so estheticians can move faster without cutting corners on the treatment itself."

A Faster Menu, Not a Cheaper One

The studio's hydrafacial stations run alongside its existing longer-format treatments, including LED therapy and chemical peels, but the walk-in bar has become the busiest part of the schedule. Castellano says roughly 60 percent of new bookings now come through the express menu, a shift that has pushed the studio to add two more treatment chairs and extend weekday hours into the early evening.

Pricing for the express hydrafacial sits close to the studio's standard facial rate, a deliberate choice Castellano says keeps quality expectations high even as appointment length shrinks. Estheticians rotate through shorter but more frequent client sessions, and the studio has added a digital booking system that lets clients pick specific add-ons — brightening serums, lymphatic drainage, or scalp treatments — without needing a full consultation each time.

Part of a Broader Denver Trend

Glow Standard's expansion mirrors a pattern industry groups have tracked across the Denver metro area, where med-spas and skincare studios have leaned into subscription memberships and express treatment formats to compete for time-strapped clients. Several nearby studios in the Cherry Creek and Uptown areas have added similar short-form treatment slots over the past year.

Castellano says she's watching how the express model affects repeat visit frequency before deciding whether to expand it to a third location. Early data from the first few months, she says, shows clients booking roughly twice as often as they did under the studio's previous appointment structure, even though each visit is shorter.
